Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:Source and identify suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) and evaluate vendor proposals.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
Manage supplier contracts, monitor performance, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Oversee procurement processes, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
Coordinate delivery schedules and handle logistics to meet project demands.
- Compliance & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and ensure proper documentation for audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and ISO requirements.
Liaise with project teams to align procurement activities with project specifications and goals.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement and quantity surveying in the construction or engineering industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in contract administration, cost estimation, and negotiation techniques. Familiarity with tendering processes and construction methodologies.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of QS and procurement software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, SAP).
- Personal Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
