Position Overview: As an Environmental Control Officer (ECO), you will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance, implementing environmental management systems, and driving sustainability initiatives across our organization. Reporting to EHS Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permits in Singapore.
- Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) to manage environmental risks and improve performance.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for new projects and activities.
- Manage waste reduction, recycling, and disposal programs to minimize environmental impact.
- Identify opportunities for pollution prevention and resource conservation.
- Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint, conserve resources, and promote eco-friendly practices.
- Provide environmental training and education to employees to raise awareness and promote best practices.
- Submit Site Environmental Control Programme (SECP) and Report (SECR)
- ECOs(SCS) take charge of the following aspects: Vector Control, Food Hygiene, Waste Management, Noise Management, Air Pollution and Dust Abatement, Earth Littering, Water Pollution and Earth Control, Sanitary Facilities Management.
Requirements:
- Must be a registered ECO with NEA.
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Construction is preferred.
- Self-driven and team player, who is also able to provide leadership and mentoring to reporting team
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cooperative work relationship with peers and superiors
- Able to start work in short notice or immediately
