Requires minimum 5 years of practical experience in the execution of building works.
She shall oversee the execution and performance of building works undertaken by the builder.
Your duties as Design Project Manager are as follows:
· To Prepare Shop Drawings and As-Built Drawings
· Immediately highlight to client, architect or developer if there is a discrepancy from construction drawings
· Developing detailed designs, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software
· Carrying out research to make sure that drawings and plans are technically feasible
· Producing rough sketches and a sample board
· Choosing the most appropriate materials for the design and budget.
· Awareness of technical building issues and the range of relevant products and materials
· Attending the site meeting and supervise ongoing projects to ensure deadlines are met
· To meet clients, Architects and Developer.
· Working to a brief, which details what the space will be used for and finding out the client’s, architect’s and developer’s personal ideas and requirements.
· Setting schedules for the project.
· Work closely with site manager, site supervisor, carpenters and other professionals.
· To consult Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and other Professionals if there is a need.
· Salvage on the existing materials in hand, in the event there is an alteration works.
· To monitor and reduce all the overhead costs, especially overtime for workers
Depending on the urgency of the project, you may need to inspect the construction site on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. Since we have supplier and projects in Malaysia KL/Penang , you might travel to these places if needed.
