Job Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for the day-to-day media-related data analysis for Chinese market
- Ensure timely completion of projects
- Supervise the quality of ratings for external vendors, collaborate and provide feedback
- Create high quality reports by analyzing the issues and patterns for the market and provide feedback to technical teams
- Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and analyze the company’s search algorithms and data, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Vet new relevance algorithms and features by rating pages and providing feedback to the engineers for improvement
- Use metrics and query logs to uncover relevance, data issues and suggest changes to algorithms
- Work cross-functionally to help resolve search and recommendations issues
- Train and lead fellow analysts, help improve overall team growth
- Translate written data/content in Chinese into English or vice versa
- Liaise with Chinese-speaking vendors and counterparts based in China
Key Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in analyzing large data sets and generating reports that identify patterns
- Experience with data, financial, or business analysis using SQL, macros, etc.
- A team-player who works well with cross-functional teams with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Technical - solid quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Willingness to be proactive in bringing new, innovative ideas to the table
- Able to read and write in Chinese to liaise with vendors and counterparts based in China, and translate written and oral content in Chinses into English or vice versa
