We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Community Development Senior Analyst - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Community Development Senior Analyst - C12) based in Marina View, Singapore. The Community Development Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. It is part of Citi’s Community Investing and Development (CID) team. The CID team works to drive positive societal impact in the communities where Citi operates, including the global work of the Citi Foundation. The Assistant Vice President will support the coordination and execution of community programs and engagement efforts across Asia Pacific.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Manage a portfolio of community organizations implementing programming in Asia Pacific, monitoring the execution of the programs, conducting periodic program and portfolio reviews to assess outcomes and effectiveness and communicating and reporting community impact both internally and externally
- Support the design and implementation of Citi Foundation’s global request for proposal programming and strategy, including the Global Innovation Challenge
- Manage the coordination of Citi’s annual day of service - Global Community Day and support volunteering strategies year-round
- Prepare presentations and talking points for high level meetings with community partners, internal management and external events
- Represent CID in internal and external meetings, events and conferences
- Stay abreast of relevant research, trends in community program areas (including economic development) and promote best practices across the CID team internationally
- Assist in assessing reputational risks and escalating, managing and reporting control issues.
- In partnership with CID colleagues, support regular and effective external and internal communications and thought leadership efforts that increase the transparency and visibility of community programs among key stakeholders
- Support adherence of Citi’s charitable contribution process
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience, in community development, social impact or corporate communications
- Combined working experience in a multinational company and nonprofit sector preferred
- Advanced degree in relevant fields a plus
- Excellent English communications skills, especially writing/editing/proofreading; another local language a plus
- An understanding of how diversity, equity and inclusion are central to community efforts
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
- Time management, prioritization skills and project management
- Interpersonal skills, particularly written and verbal communication, and comfort communicating with a broad range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task, working well under pressure
