Senior Quantity Surveyor (ACMV)

Job and Responsibilities :

1. Cost Estimation : prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment and other relevant factors.

2. Quantity Takeoff and Measurement : perform detailed quantity takeoff and measurement of materials and resources required for construction projects, using appropriate measurement methods and software tools.

3. Bill of Quantities : prepare comprehensive bills of quantities (BOQ) or schedules of rates based on the quantity takeoff, ensuring all project requirements are captured.

4. Cost Planning : develop cost plans and budgets for construction projects, analyzing project specifications, drawings and other relevant documents.

5. Tendering and Contracts : assist in the tendering process, including preparing and reviewing tender documents, conducting cost analysis, and participating in contract negotiation and award.

6. Procurement Support : collaborate with procurement teams to provide cost-related inputs and advice on the sourcing of materials, equipment, and subcontractors for construction projects.

7. Cost Control : monitor project costs throughout the construction process, reviewing and analyzing expenditures, and implementing cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets.

8. Variation and Change Management : assess and manage variations and changes to construction projects, including evaluating the impact on costs, preparing cost estimates, and assisting in negotiations.

9. Payment Certifications : review and certify payment applications from contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

10. Cost Reporting and Analysis : prepare regular cost reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost analysis, to provide accurate and timely financial information to project stakeholders.

11. Contract Administration : provide support in contract administration, including evaluating and negotiating claims, resolving contractual disputes, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
