Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, operation, user support, promotion, and governance of IT systems, primarily focusing on applications, business divisions, and company support within the Asia & Oceania region. This includes allocating IT resources such as human resources, costs, and IT products. You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing the interests of various internal organizations, including Sumitomo corporate/liaison offices, Tokyo-related groups (mainly the DX & IT Group), and SCSK Group.
  • Regular communication and information exchange with external companies in the same industry and partners.
  • Managing multiple projects and numerous system operations concurrently. This includes project management for initiatives introducing new technologies or systems, with a continuous focus on improvement and reform.
  • Identify and apply new technologies, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance our operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree with team management experience and at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Possess experience in leading application-related projects (ERP, SCM, CRM, etc.) across various areas including planning, implementation, operation, user support, promotion, and governance as a Project Manager, Consultant, or in a similar role.
  • Possess experience in implementing and promoting Citizen Development (Microsoft Power Platform) and Operation Process Analysis/Automation (RPA).
  • Possess experience in IT audit.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing; able to articulate analysis and communicate the organization and department's goals and vision across different audiences.
  • Japanese language proficiency is essential to support the communication with Headquarters and Japanese-speaking counterparts (spoken and written).
  • Have experience or interested in Digital Transformation related work.
  • Must be willing to travel regionally on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, including but not limited to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India.
