Position Overview:
As the Lead Product Designer, you will lead the UX/UI design strategy, champion user-centered design, and deliver intuitive digital experiences across all customer-facing platforms. This role requires a skilled leader who is both hands-on and capable of presenting strategic insights to C-suite and business stakeholders. You will shape and drive the design practice within the company, leading a distributed team of designers to create compelling, user-centered solutions for a B2C trading and financial services platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement of UX/UI across all digital products, ensuring alignment with business and product strategies.
- Plan, design, and deliver engaging, intuitive, and accessible product experiences that span the entire customer journey and are optimized for all devices.
- Work closely with front-end and back-end developers, product owners, and product managers to create solutions that address user needs while meeting business objectives.
- Conduct and lead customer research activities, including user testing, A/B testing, client workshops, and interviews, translating insights into actionable design requirements.
- Deepen the understanding of customers across the team, providing insights that shape business decisions and product direction.
- Manage and mentor a geographically distributed team of designers, establishing best practices and fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
- Shape and implement UI/UX best practices within the product design function, supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation through to launch.
- Design and lead workshops, brainstorming sessions, and customer problem-solving meetings to foster a shared vision and refine product requirements.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams to conceptualize, prototype, and test potential design solutions, iterating based on user feedback and data.
- Ensure all designs meet brand standards and quality guidelines.
- Facilitate effective communication across product management, engineering, and senior leadership to ensure cohesive, well-aligned product launches.
Key Requirements:
- Proven ability to lead and present design concepts confidently to C-suite and senior business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in hands-on design work, with a strong portfolio showcasing B2C digital platform designs.
- Experience in B2C platforms such as Banking, Gaming, E-commerce, with Financial Services, Investment, or Trading backgrounds being highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with user testing platforms and methods.
- Strong advocate for human-centered design principles with the ability to create intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces.
- Comfortable working within Agile or Scrum frameworks, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to achieve shared goals.
- Strong analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to solving complex customer problems through design.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring a design team, fostering skill development, and guiding best practices in design.
- Excellent communication skills to promote effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and with senior stakeholders.
