The Head of Program Management will design and implement strategic frameworks for a non- profit foundation dedicated to supporting initiaives in climate action,mindfulness, wellness and culture.
This individual will ensure that programs align with the foundations mission, drive measurable impact , and foster collaboration among stakeholders. The role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for non- profit work, strong project management skills, and experience in the foundation's focus areas.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design and Strategy
- Develop comprehensive frameworks for programs that support climiate action, mindfulness, wellness and cultural initiatives
- Conduct needs asessments and leverage research to identify gaps and opportunities within the foundation's focus areas
- Create detailed program plans, including objectives, timelines, resource requirements and risk management strategies.
Implementation and Management
- Oversee the execution of programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless program delivery
- Monitor program performance through regular evaluations and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes
Stakeholde Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including partners, community leaders and beneficairies
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness
Resource Management
- Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines
- Prepare regular reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors on program progress and outcomes
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure programs comply with all relevant regulations and ethical standards
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation of program activities, outcomes and impact
- Prepare and submit reports to funders and stakeholders as required
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, non-profit management, or a related field preferred
- Min. of 8-yr of experience in program management, prefereably within a non-profit organization
- Experience in working with non-profits that has led this individual to have a significant appreciation for non-profit stewardship and the unique dynamics of such organisations
- Demonstrated skills in understanding key issues, assembling and processing a wide range of data, condensing them into practical plans/ processes, articulating them to various constituents and stakeholders, and following through to completion
- Proven experience in designing and implementing programs ideally with a focus on climate action
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analystical and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience in the climate sector, with a deep understanding of climate issues and the ability to integrate this knowledge into program development and execution
