As a Quantity Surveyor (QS), your core responsibility is to carefully estimate costs, calculate material needs and map out project timelines, responsible for managing contracts, expenses, material sourcing, legalities and other aspects to ensure the successful completion of a project. You'll liaise closely with all teams to keep the job on track.
• Cost Control, Cost Management, Cost Reporting skills, BOQ and Cost Planning abilities.
• Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labour, timeframes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communicate well with clients to understand their requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
• Conduct feasibility studies to vet proposed projects.
• Progressive payment claims, advise disputes and any contractual issues.
• Prepare tender packages and contracts. Negotiate contracts and schedules.
• Manage risk, value engineering and cost control measures.
• Oversee and value subcontractors' work for payments. Analyse outcomes and provide budget/progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
• Experience in the signage or construction industry is a bonus. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience. To be able to use AutoCad and Adobe Illustrator proficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure and to have high initiatives to learn.
