You will manage projects that synthesize and characterize innovative polymers with controlled debonding capabilities, while ensuring smooth
collaboration between key stakeholders. The position involves guiding the work of a Lead Technology Developer (DoD Materials) and a Scientist (Processing Technologies), focusing on materials innovation and driving progress from concept to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate, and manage joint lab projects in the field of DoD materials and processing technologies, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Oversee the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced polymers with debonding on demand functionality.
- Manage the Lead Technology Developer (DoD Materials) and Scientist
(Processing Technologies), ensuring high-quality research and development.
- Apply project management skills to prioritize tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and track project progress.
- Drive innovation in DoD materials by coordinating interdisciplinary teams and collaborating with external R&D partners.
- Maintain a strong focus on materials science, ensuring that all projects meet technical and commercial requirements.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property (IP) through literature and patent searches, collaborating with legal teams where necessary.
- Foster open innovation opportunities through external partnerships,
strengthening collaborative efforts in materials science and polymer chemistry.
- Report project progress to senior management, stakeholders, and crossfunctional teams, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and implement project management best practices, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, risk management, and budget control.
Requirements
