Job Purpose:
The Project Manager (ACMV) is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) projects from initiation to completion. This role involves coordinating resources, managing schedules, and ensuring quality control while ensuring compliance with safety standards, client requirements, and industry regulations. The Project Manager will be the key point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
1. Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to review project specifications, ensuring clarity on ACMV requirements.
- Identify key project milestones and critical paths, and develop strategies to mitigate potential delays or issues.
- Establish clear communication channels with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
2. Project Execution & Monitoring:
- Lead and manage the project team, ensuring effective collaboration between various stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and suppliers.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.
- Monitor the progress of ACMV system installations, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Providing guidance and resolving issues promptly.
3. Budget & Cost Management:
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Approve and track all expenditures related to the project, ensuring that costs are controlled and any deviations from budget are documented and addressed.
- Review and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality and safety.
4. Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
- Identify potential risks related to project timelines, resources, budget, and safety, and develop mitigation plans.
- Address issues and challenges in real-time, ensuring that project objectives are not compromised.
- Coordinate with safety officers to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards during project execution.
5. Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure that all ACMV installations are compliant with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, including local building codes and environmental guidelines.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of ACMV systems to ensure that they meet the performance and operational requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits throughout the project to ensure that work is completed to the highest standards.
6. Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing ACMV projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of ACMV systems, design, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Experience working in construction, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects, or building services is preferred.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to ACMV systems.
