We are seeking a motivated and positive Sales Manager to join our dynamic and fast- growing team. The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to attract new clients and increase revenue in the catering services sector. This role involves identifying market opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets through effective planning and negotiation. The Sales Manager will work closely with the operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the client base in both corporate and private catering sectors.
- Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analysis to the Directors and Managing Directors.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Proactively identify and approach potential clients, including corporate businesses, event planners, venues, and private clients, to secure catering contracts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Conduct sales presentations and meetings to showcase catering services, menu offerings, and company capabilities.
Contract Negotiation & Proposal Development:
- Prepare customized proposals, quotes, and contracts that align with client needs and company pricing strategies.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial inquiry through to contract signing and follow-up after service delivery.
Collaboration with Operations & Marketing Teams:
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure that client expectations are met and that events run smoothly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, digital campaigns, and event-specific marketing efforts.
- Provide feedback from clients to improve menu offerings, service quality, and overall customer experience.
Sales Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor and track sales performance against targets, preparing regular reports for management.
- Maintain records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients during the sales process and after service delivery, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and professional communication and follow-up.
- Gather client feedback to assess service quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the catering, hospitality, or events industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of the catering business, including food and beverage services, event planning, and customer service.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
