- Support company growth across all sectors, including ocean, air, warehousing, and transportation.
- Expand brand presence and recognition in the market.
- Identify new business opportunities within the existing corporate customer base.
- Document each customer visit with a detailed sales visit report.
- Provide a monthly sales pipeline and forecast report to the General Manager.
- Prepare customer quotations, including for international clients.
- Collaborate with customer service to secure optimal rates.
- Conduct visits with both corporate and potential clients.
- Compile bi-weekly reports on gross profit and shipment volume.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Establish and maintain strong ties with overseas agents, offices, and partners for support.
- Brief and train other departments on new business ventures and trade lanes.
- Coordinate with Operations to create customer SOPs and brief all relevant departments prior to shipment start.
- Share market intelligence with other departments, when applicable.
- Assist the Finance Manager with payment-related issues.
- Address customer complaints and feedback, collaborating with various departments to offer solutions.
- Keep the office informed of regulatory changes as per authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma with 3-4 years of sales experience in freight forwarding or shipping industry.
- Established client base and strong industry connections are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
