Founded in 2006, Sun Venture is a long-term investor with a methodical and disciplined investment approach. At Sun Venture, we invest globally and across different asset classes such as public equities, fixed income, private markets funds, real estate, private equity and alternatives.
The Manager will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for the spectrum of finance functions, including accounting, consolidation and finance operations of Sun Venture's assets. Working closely with various stakeholders, the Manager plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with our internal policies, financial reporting standards and relevant regulations. These include to:
- Prepare the full set of monthly management accounts for entities, including issuance of invoices and making payments
- Review the full set of monthly management accounts prepared by junior employees
- Ensure audit, tax and regulatory compliance, including liaising with auditors on annual statutory audit and annual returns filing, liaising with tax agents on corporate tax filing, preparing and completing quarterly GST filing as well as filing with various other government agencies
- Prepare and review management reports to provide updates on the business performance to the management team
- Participate and support the budget and forecasting process, and perform variance analysis to identify opportunities for growth and cost discipline
- Participate and support process improvement initiatives
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance with CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualifications
- Minimum 6-8 years relevant accounting experience in real estate, private equity, or asset management industry, including at least 2 years in managerial roles
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements of the real estate, funds and asset management industry
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance
- Able to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in various Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Familiarity with Yardi and Microsoft Power Platform is an added advantage
The successful applicant will be placed on a one-year contract.
