What a Graphics Current System Interaction Engineer does in HP:
- Ensure the seamless integration of printhead/ink supplies with the printer to deliver good print quality & supplies reliability consistently for our commercial customers.
- Lead the investigation of quality escalations originating from printer factory or the field, working with a cross-functional team to conduct thorough root cause analysis, implement containment actions and deploy corrective and preventive measures effectively.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in the areas of System Interaction between Printhead/Ink Supplies and Printer Hardware during quality escalation and product change management.
- Analyze field-returned products to identify patterns and recommend corrective actions. Develop and implement product and manufacturing improvement plans to mitigate warranty costs & improve customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Customer Assurance, Hardware Partners, Product, Process Engineering and Operations to drive Customer Satisfaction improvement.
- Key liaison between printer hardware and supplies operation organization to coordinate activities & communication between both organizations during quality escalations & key product change management.
- Work closely with the Research & Development (R&D) and New Product. Introduction (NPI) teams to facilitate the smooth transition of NPI and extension products from R&D phase to manufacturing.

- Occasional travel is required and might have to travel on short notices sometimes when there are field quality escalations.
- Possess good understanding of manufacturing quality control processes such as SPC & problem solving methodologies such as 8D.
- Proven experience in print system integration will be an added advantage.
