Role summary
As a Software QA Associate, first, you should understand the art of being human.
You will be responsible for assisting in the plan & execution of our software quality assurance process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of reliability, usability, and performance. You will be working closely with development, product, and QA team members to test, identify, and help resolve software issues.
Job Description:
- Understand business functions and analyse user requirements
- Identify the scope of project, requirements and build consensus with all business stakeholders
- Analysis, scoping of data, functional requirement & specification, application design and obtain user requirements
- Plan, prepare and develop test cases
- Execute testing on digital product (web application)
- Conduct UAT and support functional testing
- Prepare all necessary document & checklist to facilitate and deliver the project
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Eagerness to Learn: Motivated to develop skills in software QA, with a willingness to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- User Centric: Sensitive to user behavior, user flow for digital products (Web apps)
- Attention to Detail: Sensitive to the use case and able to spot anomalies, with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues.
- Communication Skills: Ability communicate with internal and external; ability to clearly document and explain issues in detail, with effective communication skills for collaboration (team player).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of software development and testing processes.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Being human
- Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
