Position Summary


As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will play a crucial role in shaping and propelling our renewable energy market leadership and expansion. Tasked with advancing our growth trajectory, you will lead efforts to diversify and expand our portfolio, optimize revenue channels, and secure sustainable, long-term value creation. Your expertise in strategic planning and market foresight will harness our competitive strengths, establishing our leadership within a swiftly evolving sector. Working closely with the executive team, you will craft and execute strategies that align with our objectives, driving our mission to "generate for generations" and anchoring our legacy of impact and innovation in the renewable energy landscape. This role calls for a visionary leader poised to deliver transformative results and establish the company as a pillar of sustainability globally.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Commercial Development and General Management


Leverage profound acumen in renewable energy to architect and steward an ambitious, forward-looking commercial strategy that propels revenue growth across solar, wind, and hydrogen sectors. Orchestrate the commercial division to optimize current opportunities while presciently navigating market trends, thereby entrenching the company as a preeminent force in both traditional and emergent energy domains.


2. Market Intelligence, Innovation, and Strategic Expansion

Harness an expansive grasp of the renewable energy sector to guide incisive market analysis, revealing high-value growth prospects. Channel industry insights to oversee strategic innovation, regulatory compliance, and sustainable advancement. Provide executive counsel on market dynamics, bolstering the company’s agility and fortifying its competitive positioning within an ever-evolving industry landscape.


3. Service Innovation, Pricing Optimization, and Executive Management


Spearhead the creation of market-relevant offerings with nuanced expertise in renewable energy, overseeing the project lifecycle from conception to commercialization. Institute sophisticated, value-centric pricing strategies that enhance revenue and market presence. Direct comprehensive management of these initiatives to sustain profitability and resilience in a complex, competitive energy sector.


4. Strategic Business Development, Partnerships, and Commercial Leadership


Utilize a robust knowledge of the renewable energy landscape to spearhead transformative business development initiatives and cultivate strategic, high-stakes alliances with government bodies, corporate clients, and industry organizations. Lead high-performance sales and marketing teams in executing distinguished campaigns that amplify the company’s stature globally, reinforcing its identity as a vanguard of sustainable energy solutions.


5. Financial & Performance Stewardship


Apply a profound understanding of the renewable energy sector to oversee revenue forecasting, budgetary governance, and alignment with strategic financial objectives. Establish and refine key performance indicators to elevate productivity and prioritize long-term objectives. Conduct rigorous performance assessments to sustain strategic direction and accountability, ensuring enduring fiscal and operational robustness within the renewable energy arena.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial leadership, business development, or sales in the renewable energy or utilities sector.
  • Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies and market trends, including regulatory and environmental considerations.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and successfully managing profit & loss for a global corporation.
  • Extensive experience working with government officials / C-suite stakeholders and strategic partners, particularly for a corporation with global footprint.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams across different geographies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual with proficiency in English and Business Chinese (as frequent interaction with China stakeholders are expected).
  • Frequent international travel is required for land evaluations and meetings with government authorities.
