Business Development Director

Vulcan Shield Global Pte. Ltd.

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join Vulcan Shield Global as a Business Development Director for Alumina Continuous Fibre Products. The Business Development Director is responsible for managing all aspects of business development and investment functions related to alumina continuous fibre products. This role involves implementing development and investments strategies to drive sales growth and expand the company. The individual in this position will spherehead development and investment projects while leading cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of development and investment initiatives.


General Responsibilities


Develop Value Proposition:

  • Build and articulate the value proposition for VSG"s partnerships with Alumina Fibre companies.
  • Define research scope and objectives to understand business environment.
  • Develop plans for new market entry, existing market expansion and resource management.
  • Review business development strategies to ensure alignment with overall corporate strategies.
  • Review emerging trends and market movements to identify potential revenue streams and business threats.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to adapt existing products and services for new markets and business opportunities.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with R&D team and Management team to formulate and execute corporate business development and investmentstrategies.
  • Lead monitoring of targets and goals with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead relationship building with industry players.

Deal Structure and Negotiation:

  • Innovatively design deal structures, assess risk factors, and employ effective negotiation strategies in alignment with Company’s objectives.
  • Confirm business agreements with identified partners, suppliers and vendors according to existing market expansion plans.

Partnership Management:

  • Lead negotiations with business partners, crafting and negotiating term sheets and contracts for business developmentactivities.
  • Manage alliances, ensuring alignment with Company’s strategy, and nurturing strong working relationships with partners.
  • Communicate business development strategies with key internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper governance of existing partnerships including rigorous contract compliance.
  • Evaluate strategies to leverage relationships and network for partnerships opportunities.
  • Lead Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Joint Ventures (JV) and partnerships negotiations.


Investment Management:

  • Evaluate new businesses and regional relationships to increase market share through partnerships, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Joint Ventures (JV).
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Joint Ventures (JV)and partnerships deals.
  • Lead conversion of proposals to confirmed Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Joint Ventures (JV) deals.
  • Lead negotiations with business partners, crafting and negotiating term sheets and contracts for investment activities, product distribution, licensing, and collaboration agreements.
  • Drive investment engagement with new target investors segments with top Management.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities using business analytical tools.


Project Contributions:

  • Provide strategic inputs into projects, enhancing asset value and steering projects towards successful commercial outcomes.
  • Lead identification of opportunities to enhance current products and services with internal stakeholders.

Due Diligence Management:

  • Oversee business due diligence activities to inform project entry into Company’sportfolio, track progress within the portfolio and assess development exit options.

Team leadership:

  • Provide leadership to a team of Business Development colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Mentor and guide team members, facilitating their professional development.


Job Experience & Requirements


Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Material or Application Engineer or a related field.


Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in sales industries for US markets.
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the field of alumina continuous fibre products or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with market research and data analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales forecasting tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and technical aspects of alumina continuous fibre products is a plus.

• Mullite Fiber

• Carbon Fiber
