JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to complex machinery and fabrication repairs for both internal teams and external clients
- Negotiate, communicate and build relationships with clients
- Manager tenders, proposals and quotation for projects
- Oversee and coordinate all activities and projects ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Monitor progress and ensure contract deadlines and quality standards are met
- Ensure all repair and fabrication work meets client specifications and adheres to the company's quality standard
- Provide regular feedback and formal reports to management on workshop performance and project outcomes
- Recruit, train and manage engineers ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their roles effectively
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Service Manager in shipyards, marine engineering companies or construction industries
- A track record of successfully managing workshop operaitons and projects
- Understand engineering regulations, industry norms and safety requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Chief Engineer's license or similar qualifications
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients worldwide
- Experience in cost estimation, budgeting and personanel management
