Location: Singapore, with a potential future move to Japan
Reports to: SVP US Treasuries Sales, Japan
Responsiblities:
- Collaborate with business partners to expand institutional client activity in the US Treasury product among investors in Asia. Institutional focus may be any of banks, trusts, pensions, insurance, and other asset managers.
- Maintain regular and active client interactions via onsite or virtual meetings as well as through business travel.
- Partner with teams in both New York and Singapore office by sharing local client knowledge of market activity and interest across fixed income products.
- Use an entrepreneurial spirt to continuously prospect for new client relationships in the region.
- Focus on cross-selling services including our capabilities in custody, clearing, global payments, and repo; as well as other products such as MBS and Agency debt.
- Assist colleagues in their own efforts with all the above duties, including on a daily transactional basis to deliver the best-in-class client experience
- Making sure that we adhere to absolute compliance with all industry regulatory rules as well as firm policies.

To land this role you will need:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience in direct institutional interest rate
- MUST be fluent in Japanese
- MAS or JSDA
- Broad and deep knowledge of the US Treasury and other rate products, including market dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship building; in part through a robust existing account base.
- A passion to grow your own client business, in the context of a team effort.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; as well as demonstrated professionalism, persistence, and attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in and awareness of global markets fluctuations.
