Job Summary:
The intern of 6 months is largely expected to work in an office environment from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays and may also be required to travel out of the office for meetings. On occasions, the jobholder may need to work outside official hours on weekends to support the running of events.
Learning Objectives & Outcomes
- Case Management - Apply social work knowledge/skills in managing cases.
a. Conduct intake assessment for calls received through our main line, families/ individuals who walk into MENDAKI centres or cases referred to MENDAKI
b. Conduct needs assessments of families and individuals
c. Develop intervention plans to address the areas of need
d. Conduct referrals of families and individuals to suitable agencies
- Conduct outreach to families through engagement at events or home visits
- Conduct engagement with youths who walk into the ITE Youthspaces
- Support the operations of the MENDAKI satellite centres or the Youthspaces at the ITEs.
- Co-lead (plan and execute) at least one community event/workshop/activity.
- Data Analysis - Analyse and interpret data of families/ individuals known to MENDAKI
- Relationship-building - Maintain good relationships with partners.
Job Requirements:
- Students pursuing a Diploma
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
- Able to engage with volunteers and partners.
- Resourceful and able to multi-task.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented.
