- The Data Center Technician will support essential data center operations, performing tasks to ensure equipment reliability and quick resolution of incidents.
- Handle tasks such as cabling, verifying port numbers, observing equipment indicators, and server reboots.
- Conduct media management, visual inspections, device reboots, and physical setup tasks (HDD connections, network cables, fibre SFP insertion, circuit migrations, and fibre cleanup).
- Escalate incidents according to priority and SLA requirements; manage high-impact system failures and track issues through to resolution.
- Use tools such as virtual fault locators, optical fiber identifiers, power meters, and OTDRs for diagnostics and repairs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data center operations and technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage incidents effectively and coordinate escalations as needed.
