Position Summary:
The Manager will be responsible for overseeing automotive maintenance projects and supporting the Engineering and Operations Control team through innovation and data analysis. The role requires expertise in project execution, optimizing maintenance processes, and leveraging data analytics to drive operational efficiency. The Manager will also play a key role in implementing technological advancements and continuous improvement initiatives to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management for Corporate Fleet:
- Oversee projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and closure.
- Ensure all maintenance activities align with safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Track and report project progress to senior management and key stakeholders.
2. Support Engineering & Operations Control:
- Collaborate with workshop operations teams to drive improvements in fleet maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance operational performance, including efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Use data analytics and KPIs to monitor and evaluate the performance of maintenance processes.
- Assist in the development of dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time insights into maintenance performance and equipment health.
3. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement in automotive maintenance operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in automotive engineering and operations control to ensure the company remains competitive.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams (Engineering, Operations, IT, etc.) and external partners (vendors, subcontractors, etc.) to ensure alignment on project goals and execution.
- Engage with senior management to align project outcomes with business strategy.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance and operations teams.
5. Resource & Team Management:
- Lead training initiatives to ensure that teams are proficient in the latest tools and technologies related to automotive maintenance.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in automotive maintenance, project management, or engineering operations control, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing complex automotive maintenance projects. PMP or similar certification is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, fleet maintenance, and data analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools to optimize operations.
- Experience implementing new technologies, driving process improvements, and promoting innovation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present data-driven insights.
