Yayasan MENDAKI’s (YM) Perform in School Department (PSD) focuses on preparing our children to be resilient & future-ready – particularly in the Primary and Secondary School level. PSD looks into Academic Support Intervention through our MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP) and Education Support & Partnership initiatives for our school goers. We will also engage parents and children in various Empowerment Programmes to enhance our knowledge and discuss current affairs pertaining to education. We hope to partner with families in supporting their children's educational journey and academic success
You will be supporting PSD in various department functions – from Event or Programme Management to Data and Finance Management & Administration, as an intern and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful and holistic projects for the community’s school goers and their family.
You may be expected to work between speculated times on weekdays but also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support PSD programmes (claimable via working hours’ time-off – subject to approval based on work exigencies).
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
1. Assist Programme Co-ordinators on the overall planning, administration and management, and executing operational deliverables of the MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP), Education Support & Partnership initiatives and Empowerment Programmes:
• Programme Planning and Coordination – support in research of topics (identifying concept, target audience, theme, etc) and coordination of managing multiple projects, tasks and resources.
• Stakeholder Management – assist in communicating with various stakeholders (e.g. community partners, speakers, vendors, etc), managing expectations and delivering the desired outcomes.
• Marketing Communications – assist in outreach/publicity of every programme to different (internal and external) stakeholders.
• Procurement Administration – assist in processing any procurement needs for every programme e.g. (venue rental, creative works, photography, refreshments, food catering, etc).
• Logistics – assist in preparing all logistical needs of every programme (e.g. door gifts, refreshments, stationery, etc). Coordinating the courier service of transporting all logistics to event location.
• Event Management – support in ensuring smooth implementation and execution of every programme (e.g. workshops, seminars or events) as planned.
• Event Registration – assist in this critical task of ensuring all participants’ details are captured accurately pre, during and post event. Facilitating participants checking in to every programme (e.g. workshops or events) and handling technical issues for online programmes, when needed.
Secondary Roles & Responsibilities
1. Supporting (Vital) Finance Team in the administrative processes for PSD’s financial activities:
• Honorarium Processing – assist in monthly collation of Tutors’ Honorarium process of MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP) and/or Education Support & Partnership initiatives.
2. Supporting PSD (Vital) Data Team in collecting, evaluating and analysing, reporting and distributing data and research for MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP), Education Support & Partnership initiatives and Empowerment Programmes:
• Monthly Data Collection and Reporting – assist in monthly reporting of PSD key figures for YM management. Ensures accuracy and prompt delivery of data, reports and audits.
• Programme Evaluation – Support in evaluating programmes and initiatives through feedback collection and recommend areas for improvement.
