Job Description:
To manage and supervise the mechanic in the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance works on equipment, so that the equipment can function properly and operate safely.
Requirements:
1. Prepare and schedule preventive maintenance work plan.
2. Control of preventive work plan, and assign overtime works where necessary.
3. Adjustment and plan for corrective maintenance works.
4. Assist to carry out preventive maintenance works where necessary.
5. Responsible for the behaviour and works of the mechanics under his control.
6. Control and collect informations from customer relating to works, mechanics, etc.
7. Teach and conduct on-the-job training for newly employed mechanics.
8. Teach and conduct safety procedures of works.
9. Teach and conduct operating principles of the equipment to the owner.
10. Assist in the attendance of building or equipment inspections are required by-law.
11. Follow-up on the breakdown report and assist the mechanic on the breakdown works.
12. Assist in the reduction of Breakdown ratio.
13. Ensure proper record of drawings, files, documents relating to the maintenance work of the equipment.
14. Ensure proper record of all tools issued.
15. Ensure proper record of mechanics Annual leave, Sick leave, etc.
16. Assist in conducting investigation of damages/accidents to equipment or personnel.
17. Preparation of necessary reports on relating maintenance works.
18. Report to the Maintenance Supervisor/ Asst Engineer/ Officer/ Asst Officer on matters relating to the section.
19. Carry out any other duties as assigned by superior.
20. Conduct patrol checks on maintenance works.
21. Follow-up on QC and QA defects.
22. Liaise with officers on maintenance works.
23. Ensure compliance to Environmental Policy, reduction of waste and prevention of pollution.
24. Ensure equipments under his care is properly maintain.
