Job Description
You will be accountable for management reporting and financial analysis for a regional portfolio as well as providing explanation of variances and key performance drivers, and consolidating results across our region for monthly / quarterly reporting and presentations. You will prepare cash flow forecast and support in planning and implementing new business initiatives. You will craft and provide insightful analysis to the firm in identifying commercial and financial improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
● Oversees all activities of the Accounts Department
● Managing full sets of accounts in accordance to statutory and company requirements
● Responsible for all aspect of month / year end closing ensuring accuracy and timeliness
● Preparing monthly management reports and variance analysis for management review
● Preparing schedules as required by auditors and tax agents and filing of GST return
● Performing year-end closing and audit schedules and liaise with auditors and tax agents
● Oversee the Credit control function and Client account management
● Monitoring of staff work in accounting/compilation report/ GST workings/ bank reconciliation/ payroll
● Providing supervision, cover and assistance to team members in all areas of accounting duties including billing, credit control and reporting
● Working with the regional teams to instil the best practices in financial management
● Initiate, propose and ensure implementation of improvements in procedures and systems to optimize work processes and ensure service quality.
● Other duties as assigned by Senior Management
Requirements
● Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
● Possess ACCA qualification
● Preferred 5-8 years relevant experience in handling full sets of accounts
● Relevant experience preferably in legal firm would be an added advantage
● Self-motivated and able to work independently with positive attitude
● Independent worker and analytical problem solver with an ability to conduct research, data analysis
● Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
