As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and driving truck vehicles to transport goods and materials from one location to another. Job Description:
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate truck vehicles to transport various types of goods and materials between specified locations, adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
- Cargo Loading and Unloading: Ensure the proper loading and securement of cargo onto the trailer truck, and supervise the unloading process at the destination.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, logs, and trip reports accurately and on time.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatchers and logistics teams, updating them on delivery status, potential delays, and any relevant incidents.
- Emergency Response: Demonstrate quick thinking and appropriate actions in the event of emergencies, accidents, or unforeseen circumstances while on the road.
Job Requirements:
- Secondary Education without GCE 'O' / 'N' Level or equivalent.
- Valid Class 4 driver's license required.
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar driving position preferred.
- Strong understanding of traffic rules, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to handle heavy machinery and cargo safely and efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to cargo loading and unloading.
- Comfortable sitting for extended periods while driving.
- Good vision and hearing abilities for safe driving and communication.
Working Hours: 5.5 working days per week (max. of 44hrs) + Overtime (max. of 72 hours per month)
