Job Summary
Seeking skilled Manual Tester with proven expertise in Quality Assurance and Application Testing.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Information Systems;
- Proven experience of atleast 2-4 years in manual testing, ideally within an application development;
- Proficient in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, and similar platforms;
- Support UAT by setting up test environments and assisting end-users throughout the testing process;
- Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess software functionality;
- Meticulous attention to detail for identifying even minor defects;
- Effective verbal and written communication for seamless collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Desired Skill-set
- Background in specific sectors (such as finance, healthcare, or retail);
- SQL and scripting knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications;
- Conduct manual testing on software applications to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards;
- Document, track, and report defects using test management tools, working closely with the development team to resolve issues;
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and reports;
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to fully understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage;
- Perform regression testing to confirm that new code changes do not impact existing functionalities;
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test environments and assisting end-users during testing phases;
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities.
