Your primary role would be that of assisting the Head of Home / Head of Therapy in the following functions:
- Provide ongoing regular case supervision to Caseworkers and Interns attached to the Casework Team
- Provide training, mentoring and professional development of Caseworkers
- Providing onboarding and orientation for new Caseworkers for good alignment with Casework Team and Organization.
- Work closely with management to ensure Casework Team quality, performance and timeliness, and to brainstorm and cascade related policies, decisions and solutions across the Casework Team
- Collate information and statistics across the Casework Team to inform management and for external reporting to sector administrator
- Ensure the Casework Team is able to meet auditing requirements by sector administrator
- Work closely with Heads, Managers, and Lead members of the other departments to ensure smooth running of the Home’s operations
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of quality therapeutic interventions to residents and families
- To assist with Crisis Intervention and Management in the Home
- Hold administration functions for both external and online systems such as ECRM, CANS, HavHome, etc.
In order to stay relevant and apprised of the Caseworker’s responsibilities, the Casework Manager is also expected to take on a small number of direct cases:
- Provide Casework and Counselling to teenage girls in a Residential setting
- Liaise, collaborate with, and provide information to external partners and stakeholders, such as Subordinate Courts, MSF, Schools, Employers and other Voluntary Welfare Organizations whom the resident and family may be in contact with
- Coordinate and manage all external appointments of the residents
- Assess risks and needs of residents and their families and formulate the Individual Care Plan (ICP) for each resident accordingly.
- Ensure execution of ICP’s planned action according to goals, in close collaboration with care staff and programs team
- Provide counselling to resident’s family, and conduct restorative work between residents and their families
- Monitor daily incidents and progress of residents
- Provide inputs at weekly Disciplinary Committee conferences and ensure execution of outcomes derived from the conferences
- Ensure and maintain accurate and updated records on each resident
- Prepare, review and submit all regular and ad-hoc reports required
- Provide professional inputs to care staff team on residents and families’ risks, and needs, and to support behavior management in the Home
- Conduct group work with residents and/or with their families to equip them with the necessary life skills
- Review relevance of all external proposed classes/workshops/talks that may be useful for residents
- Coordinate with the respective agencies on the proposed sessions, internal team and Programs department to facilitate sessions.
