Art Teacher (Full-time / Part-time)


The HEart of our studio lies in our dedication towards delivering a holistic art programme, with a focus towards the engagement with the children and their learning experiences. The team is made up of nothing less than energetic individuals who are passionate for arts and teaching.

Heart Studio will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore , and do not require Heart Studio’s sponsorship of a visa.


Main Responsibilities

- Create and conduct lessons for all curriculum and workshops according to HEart studio standards

- Teach Fine Art to children ( Sketching, painting and sculpture) in an engaging and creative manner

- Develop and prepare lessons plan and art related programs.

- Good communication skills to be able to engage and communicate effectively with parents , students and fellow teachers

- Demonstrate and assist students to use different techniques of art work aligned to their artistic abilities.

- Teach students to apply elements of design and modern principles of art

- Able to handle students of different age group

- Create a conductive environment to enhance learning

- Plan, coordinate Adhoc studio programs and events

- Effectively guide the students as per studio’s curriculum / lesson plan while tracking progress and providing timely feedback.

- Maintain studio cleanliness , housekeeping


Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma/Degree in Fine Arts, Design or related fields
  • 1-3 years of experience in teaching fine art to students in studio / pre school or equivalent capacity.
  • Equipped with knowledge of painting and drawing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact with all levels
  • Enjoys working with children age 3 years to 17 years.
  • Has patience and cares for children, comfortable communication with parents
  • Keen for knowledge
  • Strong foundation in classroom management
  • Handles and communicate effectively with children and parents
  • Independent, resourceful, self-motivated with initiative
  • Honest, responsible and positive
  • Proven track record and portfolio
  • Able to work over weekends

  • Part timers are welcome to apply

Working hours:

- Wed to Fri: 11am to 8.45pm

- Saturday: 9.30am to 6pm

- Sunday: 9.30am to 4.30pm
