Summary
- Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and processes to drive efficiency and productivity within the company’s manufacturing operations
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to automate various manufacturing processes and operations
- Lead a team of automation engineers and technicians to design, configure, and maintain automated systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of automated equipment and systems
- Analyse data and metrics to continually optimize the performance of automated processes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
- Perform internal quality system audit
- Provide training and support to production staff on the use of automated systems
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Min 5 years of experience in automation, semiconductor or manufacturing industry or similar
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing automated systems
- Proficient in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial robotics
- Knowledge in ISO9001, ISO13485, TS16949, familiar with FMEA, PPAP, APQP and IOPQ is added advantage
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of automation professionals
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to industrial automation
