Our client is a renowned and global commodity trading MNC based in town, This MNC has a good job rotation program and offers good var bonus for strong performers. For this role as a Fuel Oil Operator, you will handle the operations/logistics of fuel oil cargo shipments for the team.
Overall purpose:
- To plan and administrate all cargo contracts efficiently and cost effectively in accordance with company's policy and guidelines.
- To be the backup cover for Blending Operator during vacation and leave of absence.
- Main Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the Blending Operator for incoming qualities and etas and make necessary adjustments and pre-empt operational issues with counterparties/shipowners/etc.
- To timely review contracts and counters as proposed by Contract Team and provide relevant input as appropriate.
- To coordinate and manage the import and export logistics of the fuel oil cargo.
- To manage the related cargo chain supply transactions in compliance with sanctions rules and regulations of the company.
- To be aware of the status of required payment securities (ie LC/prepayment/PU/PCG/etc) for individual transactions.
- To ensure vessels are acceptable for the operations as the case may be.
- To issue voyage instructions to ship owners and follow through the entire voyage from start to end.
- To issue letter of protest/ notice to counterparties whenever it is required to protect the interest of the company.
- To issue appropriate instructions to surveyors/expeditors for the cargo operations.
- To save/file all records relating to individual shipment after completion of the operations.
- Any other operational responsibilities associated with the cargo operations.
Technical qualifications and skills:
- Degree holder, with at least 4 – 5 years’ working experiences in the oil cargo supply chain
- Familiar with commercial/trade contracts and charterparty terms and conditions
- Knowledge of oil qualities and the significance of critical parameters’ test methodologies
- Highly organized, meticulous and able to multi-task
- Able to work within an organized framework and tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office
