Research and Development Manager

Roles & Responsibilities


Responsibilities:


  • Identify and prioritize innovative product features based on customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Conduct extensive market research to understand emerging trends, customer pain points, and opportunities in the fintech sector.
  • Analyze competitor offerings to inform product development and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI design, compliance, and marketing teams to drive product development from concept through launch.
  • Identify and manage project risks, adjusting priorities as needed to address challenges or changes in market conditions.
  • Lead user testing and validation processes to ensure product functionality aligns with customer expectations and delivers value.
  • Explore and integrate emerging fintech technologies, such as blockchain, AI, and machine learning, into product design to enhance capabilities.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and development through post-launch support and enhancements.
  • Develop and manage budgets for R&D initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize product development outcomes.
  • Ensure products are designed to comply with relevant fintech regulations and standards, including data security and privacy laws.
  • Lead and mentor the R&D team, providing guidance and support to drive high-performance outcomes and professional growth.


Requirements:


  • Min. of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the fintech industry or a closely related sector.
  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of fintech, financial products, and emerging technologies, including blockchain, AI, and machine learning.
  • Strong project management abilities, including experience with resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on developing customer-centric solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and motivating a high-performing team, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for fintech innovation and a strong desire to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
