Join us as an Asian FX Trader
- We are looking to add to our growing global Emerging Markets FX team at NWM in Singapore and you’ll be working closely within the global pod with teams based in London and Stamford
- Your focus will be driving the Asia FX franchise during Singapore hours with the benefit of having access to our global customer franchise including a strong mix of Corporate, FI, Real Money, and Private Fund names
- You’ll contribute to the global Emerging Markets franchise development, reviewing all flows and market movements across various regions and building strong communication channels with wider teams and generating trading strategies
What you'll do
As an Asian FX Trader, you'll be managing risk positions within authorised desk limits and delivering hedging strategies to ensure risk limits are not breached. You'll also be handling the booking of all trading activities within the relevant systems and providing follow up of trade queries to minimise the risk of errors. Alongside this you will be working closely with key stakeholders to develop a strong Asia FX offering across traditional voice and electronic venues.
Your top priorities will include:
- Providing consistent levels of pricing, ensuring that the client pricing capability is consistent with business goals
- Meeting financial objectives, managing costs as set down by the trading head and ensuring that the client pricing capability is consistent with the aim of capturing and increasing our client footprint
- Ensuring that your product area is compliant with dealing authorities, positions, and risk limits, as well as our regulators' rules and regulations
The skills you'll need:
We’ll need you to have experience of trading Asian FX, including either non-deliverable or deliverable forwards, or ideally both. Some electronic trading literacy is required although this need not be direct electronic trading experience.
Furthermore, you'll need:
- To be a team player with a strong work ethic and a high degree of initiative
- The ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced trading environment
