Position Overview
The Accounts Associate is responsible for supporting the Accounts department by managing and executing key accounting functions for the Company's clients. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of client financial data, maintaining effective record-keeping systems, and assisting with various accounting tasks to meet client needs and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and assist with the reconciliation of client bank statements.
- Verify and reconcile client accounts, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Assist in managing client accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account schedules.
- Resolve discrepancies promptly and maintain accurate client financial records and filing systems.
- Handle routine client correspondence and inquiries.
- Support the Accounts team with additional duties related to client accounts as required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain organized records.
- Strong analytical skills for resolving client accounts issues.
- Understanding of relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and other related services.
- Strong team player who can work independently with minimal supervision.
