POSITION SUMMARY
The HSE Officer is responsible for the management and integration of a coordinated and standardized HSE
management system within Intertek. The role will assists in the improvement of HSE performance of
Intertek.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promotes Safety culture in the workplace.
- Responsible for the preparation, compilation and maintenance of safety manuals to ensure compliance with safety regulatory standards that meets the Company’s HSE policy and objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring the Safety Management System is maintained and properly followed to comply with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, and that it meets the Company’s HSE policy objectives.
- Continuous review of the HSE Manual and its’ implementation.
- Promotes good HSE practices and ensures these practices are in place and safety regulations followed.
- Conducts investigation of accidents and near miss incidents reported.
- Organizes and conducts HSE training plans.
- Intervenes in unsafe activities or operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Registered Safety officer (RSO) with MOM.
- Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM).
- Degree in Environmental Health and Safety Engineering / Diploma in Chemical Process and its equivalent/ WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (Level C) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant HSE working experience with knowledge of local statutory requirements & HSE standards, preferably within manufacturing or O&G industry.
- Proficient in MS Office (words, excel, powerpoint).
- Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
