Contract period: 1 year (renewable/ convertible to perm role)

Work Hours: 5 days (Office Based)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of his assigned vessels at all times. And able to provide analysis of the nature and causes of serious breakdowns and damage.
- Ensure that vessels under his management complies with statutory, class and other third-party requirements.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the technical knowledge of ships and keeps abreast of industry standards and regulations in charge of budget Compliance, which is to ensure maintenance and repair in accordance with company standards and within approved budget.
- Ensure coordination of activities with the operations department to ensure that ship support is achieved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Oversees and allocate resources to support operations efficiently.
- Expected to carry out regular ship visits as per the company requirement and update vessel status consistently.
Crew Management
- Brief crew on organizational policies, documentation and procedures.
- In charge of the appraisals of crew members, together with the operation team.
- Responsible for the compliance for crew manning and other administration purposes.
- Ensure welfare of the crew and be the contact point between the crews/vessels and the management requirements.
Requirements:
- Preferred Experience 3 years prior experience in equivalent or similar role COC class qualification or sailing experience with engine handling exposure an advantage
- Proactive attitude for identifying issues and managing problems
- Team player that creates synergy with colleagues
- Independent when allocate task and takes ownership for the assigned responsibility
- Meticulous in approach to work and details, especially when managing vessels and crews
- Expected to oversee 2 small sized, Singapore based oil tanker (with their crews)
