Admissions Consultant

Canadian International School Pte Ltd

Key Accountability (Main purpose of this job):

To handle the inquiries, application and onboarding of new students.


Responsibilities (Key areas of responsibilities):

Admission Inquiry stage:

  • Handle lead and agent enquiries - telephone (incoming and outgoing), chat, email and face to face.
  • Arrange appointments with prospective families, present CIS programmes, student related policies and procedures and conduct campus tours.
  • Process lead for Open House info sessions - coordinate pre, during and post info registration.

Admissions Application stage:

  • Apply for MOE approval for students with Singapore citizenship.
  • Review applications and supporting documents, which includes coordinating with the Admissions Assessment and Compliance Teams, Head of Admissions and/or Vice-Principals/Principals if further assessments are required for admission.
  • Issue Letter of Acceptance to the family, upon submission of all required documents.

Admissions Acceptance Stage:

  • Handle prospective Student's pre-admission counselling sessions and ensure that all relevant information about CIS are shared.
  • Ensuring prospective students have all valid documents submitted prior to contractual issuance

Admissions Onboarding Stage:

  • Ensure full compliance of admissions documents with EduTrust requirements, including confirmation of valid pass status before commencement of class.
  • Arrange student-teacher orientation prior to the first day of school and work with the administrative executives to ensure seamless on-boarding for new students.

General:

  • Update school databases timely and accurately
  • Assist in Open Houses, education fairs, marketing and school events where required
  • Work collaboratively and communicate with relevant colleagues if and when support is required
  • Be proactive in the deployment of any improvements deemed necessary

It should be noted that these tasks are the most pertinent to the position (title) held, but there will be instances when tasks are required to be fulfilled which may not adhere completely to the aforementioned


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in any discipline.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or sales type role.
  • Excellent command of both verbal and written English is required for this role and must be fully proficient in using MS Word and Excel. Ability to converse in another language will be an added advantage.
