- Oracle Forms Development:
- Design, develop, and deploy Oracle Forms applications to support business processes.
- Work with business analysts to gather requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- Implement complex forms with various UI controls (e.g., LOVs, buttons, triggers, etc.).
- Integrate Oracle Forms with Oracle databases for data processing and manipulation.
- Write, optimize, and debug PL/SQL code to handle back-end processes and business logic.
- Oracle Reports Development:
- Design and develop Oracle Reports (both RDF and XML-based reports).
- Develop and optimize complex reports using Oracle Reports Builder.
- Ensure that reports meet the performance, accuracy, and usability requirements of the business.
- Work with different data sources, including Oracle Database, and ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
- Database Integration:
- Create and maintain database triggers, stored procedures, and functions to enhance Oracle Forms and Reports functionality.
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for better performance.
- Ensure the integrity and consistency of data across different applications and systems.
- Maintenance and Support:
- Provide ongoing support for existing Oracle Forms and Reports applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in application performance and implement enhancements as needed.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Write test cases and conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and performance of the applications.
- Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and bug fixing cycles.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and system administrators, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain technical documentation for developed applications, including design specifications, user manuals, and operational procedures.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Proactively suggest improvements and solutions to optimize the development and operational process.
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Forms and Reports development.
- Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, or higher).
- Familiarity with Oracle Application Server (WebLogic) and Oracle Developer Suite.
