This role will engage directly with customers to understand their requirements and will drive internal procurement processes & global supply chain operations to exceed both internal & external expectations. The position will lead strategic initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency and profitability at Ichor Systems, ensuring all deliverables meet customer needs.
Job Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Implement supply chain strategies for assigned products and programs to support delivery, reduce supply risk, reduce costs, and optimize cash flow.
- Attend production meetings and communicate shortage updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve root causes of issues such as planning errors, unexpected demand, Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementations, supply constraints.
- Maintain DDMRP (Demand Driven MRP) programs such as Kanban and safety stock replenishment, including quantity analysis, ERP system updates, contract maintenance, and forecast communication with suppliers, ensuring compliance with service levels and mitigating liabilities.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all value-added activities within a product's value chain, including diagramming and measurement.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or related
- Minimum 5 years of Planning experience in semiconductor or similar manufacturing industries.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and perform well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with additional knowledge of Visual Basic (VB) and Power BI is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly escalating issues and requirements to suppliers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams, including technical decision-makers, with a strong understanding of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis, and negotiation.
