The Opportunity
The role is to help manage the Innovation Centre (SIC) briefings, fostering a strategic relationship with sales, product teams, and executives to deliver amazing customer experiences. As part of the planning process, the Strategist will strategise with the account team to align goals to meeting content and select appropriate speakers to ensure the sales & customer goals are achieved. This position requires strong analytical, organisational, and coordination skills and the ability to communicate to and work with executive management, sales management, and other critical organisations to ensure the success of these meetings in this dynamic & fast-paced environment. This role will suit individuals with a natural curiosity to listen, probe and understand organisational challenges and translate those into a well thought-out meeting strategy.
- Qualify, manage & ensure the success of customer briefings as part of the SIC experience.
- Serve as main point of contact for Account Teams throughout the planning cycle and during customer briefings
- Work closely with Account Teams to gain an understanding of Customer and Sales objectives
- Strategise with Account Teams on agenda, meeting flow, Subject Matter Experts, content, etc.
- Brief and prepare executives for their SIC briefings and SIC briefings at our conferences
- Liaise with Subject Matter Experts on product positioning and strategy for briefings
- Work within SIC team functions to manage all logistics – request management, room/speaker scheduling, catering coordination, room readiness
Your Background
- Proven professional experience, ideally in a similar role in tech/software but not essential
- Experience in facilitating meetings/events, project management, and liaising with executives preferred
- Adaptability to frequent change
- Strong background in being customer-focused
- Consultative background and ability to understand business needs and translate it into a clear strategy
- Exceptional communication, organisational skills (must be very detail-oriented) and professionalism
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure - including ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple projects at once
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Commitment to customer satisfaction & attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in developing compelling customer agendas, ideally in a customer briefing or Marketing environment
- Understanding of current technology trends and topics and experience identifying and communicating which customer painpoints they can help address
- Functional experience in sales meetings and/or executive briefings is a plus
- Familiarity in using Salesforce and exposure to the executive briefing process (preferred)
- Ideal Candidate has Sales/Customer-facing experience
