Responsibilities:
- Monitor regional trade legislation, regulations, and trends that affect the company's business in the APAC region
- Develop and maintain SOPs and procedures for import and export trade activities
- Supervise a team to manage and execute daily GTC operations across the APAC region
- Oversee and execute compliance screenings for transactions/orders and release export holds to support business operations
- Manage submissions and administration of import/export licenses and other communications with government agencies
- Address and manage inquiries from business stakeholders within the APAC region
- Conduct ad hoc compliance reviews for the company's entities
- Identify areas of compliance risk and suggest process improvements
- Conduct trade compliance training for business stakeholders
- Support the APAC GTC department with ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of international trade experience (import/export) with strong knowledge of export control
- Familiarity with US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Asian export control systems
- Practical knowledge of export compliance screening processes
- Strong ethical standards and a "hands-on" approach
- Working knowledge of relevant trade laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
