We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to oversee the successful delivery of technology projects, with a focus on serving banking clients. This role will require end-to-end management of project lifecycles, from planning and resource allocation to execution and post-deployment support. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and squads to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Ownership & Delivery:
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for assigned technology projects.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet client requirements and quality standards.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders and clients.
- Actively engage with client stakeholders and technical teams for projects throughout the project life cycle including estimations, scoping, design, development, SIT, UAT and product demo sign offs.
2. Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Oversee and coordinate the work of multiple teams and squads, including development, QA, and DevOps.
- Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure transparency, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Mentor and support team members to ensure high engagement, performance, and adherence to best practices.
3. Process Optimization & Quality Control:
- Implement and refine processes to improve team productivity, delivery efficiency, and project quality.
- Conduct regular project reviews and retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities.
- Establish and maintain documentation and reporting standards, ensuring stakeholders are informed on project status, risks, and progress.
4. Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them effectively.
- Proactively resolve issues that may impact project timelines or quality, engaging with internal and client teams as necessary.
5. Client & Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project delivery, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and engagement.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding client goals and fostering a partnership approach to project delivery.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications preferred
- 12+ years in IT project delivery, with a minimum of 5 years in a technical delivery management role, ideally within the banking or financial services industry
- Good understanding of Digital Banking and Agile Ways of Working
- The ideal candidate must have worked as a part of a consulting organization handling technical delivery of banking projects
- Strong understanding of software development, system architecture, and deployment methodologies. Familiarity with relevant technologies such as Java, React, DevOps, and Cloud solutions
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
