Job Overview:
As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will lead and oversee all aspects of piping projects, ensuring precision in design and seamless execution. This position requires close coordination with multiple engineering disciplines, making it ideal for a seasoned engineer with a passion for leadership and technical excellence. Your role will be instrumental in steering projects toward success while mentoring junior engineers and driving improvements within the piping department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects ranging from $3 million to $20 million and beyond.
- Coordinate activities between different engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams.
- Perform contract assessments, conduct risk evaluations, and create contingency strategies.
- Plan and allocate resources for project teams and staff assignments.
- Develop and implement project policies regarding quality, safety, cost control, and scheduling.
- Lead project kick-off meetings with clients and internal teams.
- Draft and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and conduct cost analyses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise EPC cost estimations and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Act as the company representative during client meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage project documentation, handle design modifications, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant project management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various engineering disciplines, including technical process expertise.
- Proficiency in fundamental project management principles, Basic Design, and P&ID.
- Experience with front-end engineering design, project planning, and scheduling tools.
- Proven experience in managing EPC projects within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.
- Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated capacity to inspire and guide teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven and capable of managing projects professionally and in accordance with company standards.
