Role / Responsibilities
- Play a leadership role in your primary team in all phases of search execution including:
- Sourcing (creating a job spec, researching and mapping candidate pools, profiling candidates, reaching out to candidates for fit and interest, logistics)
- Screening (candidate assessment, screening for skills and cultural fit, writing up notes, and being responsible for follow-up)
- Execution (presenting candidates to the client, discussing fit, managing the process of interview stages, negotiating offer terms and facilitating acceptances)
- Develop and maintain relationships in the financial services community more broadly, to assist pre-qualifying candidates, and to support business development
- Together with the Practice leaders, support and help drive in all phases of marketing and business development, from researching prospects, making marketing outreaches and setting up meetings
- Generalist support across the firm when needed and an active firm ambassador internally
Requirements
- 10+ years of full-time, post-college work experience, preferably with experience in financial services, strategy consulting or a well-respected professional services firm, of which, 3+ years of executive search experience with a track record of professional success
- Expert knowledge of the financial services or technology industry and a specialist thought leader in a particular practice area
- Maturity and ability to connect easily with people (candidates, clients, colleagues) and natural relationship management instincts; likely to be viewed as a ‘matchmaker’ by peers, with the ability to show empathy and understand peoples’ real drivers
- Track record of client service orientation, with sensitivity to soft attributes such as cultural fit
- Ability to be resourceful, entrepreneurial and creative, and to shape the role and offer suggestions
- Strong project management track record and client service orientation
- Starting to garner a strong reputation as a search leader in the industry
- Commitment to a long-term career focused on executive search in the financial services or technology sectors
- Demonstrate the ability to originate searches
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, and track record of intellectual curiosity
