Roles & Responsibilities
Resident Techncal Officer
The candiate should process structural engineering qualification with experience in bored piling, precast works, steel structures, ERSS and associated construction works
- Provide supervision for building and infrastructures works on site in accordance to the project specifications, approved building plan, construction drawings and Building Control Acts and Regulations
- Carry out inspection of works on site and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance to the Qualified Person (QP) instructions and requirements
- Maintain proper documentation of site inspection and site progress records according to ISO Standards
- Check on all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and highlight to Consultants and Project Team for follow up to prevent delay to the project
- Review submission of method statements and ensure compliance to approved drawings and specification and inspect works on site to ensure it is carried out in accordance to approved method statement
- Ensure quality control on site and monitor site safety are enforce during site works
- Attend site meeting when required
- Coordinate with QP and Contractor for all site inspections
- Submit daily site activities and monthly progress report
- Carry out supervision for all structural works such as reinforcements to structural elements, concreting, installation and removal of temporary support
Requirement
- Degree in Civil Engineering, National Construction Certificate of Supervision (NCCS) or relevant Diploma
- Accredited as Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES
- At least 5 years relevant site experience in residential / improvement works
- Experience in HDB and LTA projects will be an advantage
