This role requires the incumbent to be able to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life.
Main responsibilities include:
- Handle the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Liaise and build relationships with banks, lawyers, auditors, the board of directors, and other business stakeholders.
- Perform data entry and other clerical tasks such as filing and answering phone calls.
- Do the monthly bank reconciliation.
- Assist in supervising the China Office accounts staff. You must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Carry out financial analysis.
- Prepare monthly or annual reports for use by the Management.
- Assist in the management of the company’s tax and budget.
- Cover for the Accountant in their absence.
- Review new financial policies.
- Contribute towards the continuous improvement in the Accounts & Finance section's processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field of study, from a reputable university.
- At least 1 year working or internship experience in an accounting or audit role.
- Professional attitude.
- Excellent spoken and written communication (English and Mandarin Chinese) skills.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Confident and pleasant looking.
- Can adapt to a fast-paced, thinking environment.
