JOB SUMMARY

  • The HR Advisory Cluster Lead will have strategic and operational accountability for the HR Advisory team in their geographical cluster, a fungible pool of resources that support People Leaders at defined critical interactions and collaborate with colleagues across HR to deliver on strategic people priorities.
  • The role holder will oversee a team of HR Advisors in their cluster to design and deliver impactful guidance at moments that matter for People Leaders and to deliver on people priorities within their cluster markets. The Cluster lead will collaborate with Centre of Excellence leads, HRBPs and Service Delivery to identify and determine support required for People Leaders and the wider business, to deliver an excellent experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Proactively form relationships with key HR and Business colleagues to deliver against shared priorities and influence relevant decision making across SG & ASEAN markets, ensuring alignment with diverse market needs and resource deployment across multiple countries.
  • Stand up the HR Advisory model in the cluster and manage the transition from current state to new services and ways of working.
  • Track HR Advisory contribution to the delivery of people objectives against business/function scorecard to ensure high levels of capabilities and performance satisfy current and future requirements of the business while meeting regional compliance standards for Singapore and ASEAN.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR Advisory through consistent monitoring and review of performance, making necessary adjustments to delivery model as needed.
  • Ensure HR Advisory delivery enables the Group Diversity and Inclusion strategy, contributing to attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent.

Business

  • Monitor and manage HR Advisory service quality and capacity within the cluster, meeting agreed KPIs/SLAs and working with the Global Head of Advisory and other cluster leads as appropriate to address challenges
  • Manage allocation of workload, scheduling and staffing plans, including overall capacity planning for HR Advisory and prioritisation of requests being made for HR Advisory support
  • Ensure the effective delivery of strategic people priorities in line with global and local requirements, partnering with other HR colleagues and teams as required to work as One HR, leveraging knowledge of employment regulations specific to Singapore and ASEAN to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to ensure a cohesive employee experience across HR Advisory services.
  • Understand local country HR requirements, including people plans and translation needs
  • Support and prioritise critical local initiatives for regulators and work closely with head of Specialist Delivery for cluster and in country

Processes

  • Collaborate with Cluster Lead, Employee Relations CoE, to enable effective triage of ER-related requests in-line with agreed HR Advisory and ER CoE scope
  • Where required, guide the resolution of complex people-related challenges independently or by collaborating with HRA and ER specialist as appropriate; recommending solutions to address key issues based on established principles, standards, and guidelines, while prioritising employee experience to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Collaborate with additional COE cluster leads as needed to develop and improve processes, manage complex cases, and establish principles, standards and guidelines for moments that matter and other activities needed in the service catalogue.

People & Talent

  • Be able to manage a large and diverse team across multiple markets, understanding different, cultural, regulatory and legal landscapes.
  • Coach and mentor HR Advisors within the cluster, playing an active role in identifying potential, supporting diverse team management practices to develop talent across Singapore and ASEAN.
  • Develop clear career pathways for colleagues across HR Advisory to ensure opportunities for career progression into other HR roles
  • Enable HR Advisors within the cluster to deliver high quality services, including the following areas: Navigating challenging people situations, Becoming a new People Leader, Enabling effective development conversations.
  • Embed client focus, risk aware approach to delivery of HR Advisory services, ensuring compliance with Singapore and ASEAN regulatory requirements while strengthening People Leader capability in key areas and efficient delivery of key HR processes

Risk Management

  • Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk and compliance matters within the necessary timeframes.
  • Look out for complex employee relations issues involving senior people, significant litigation, high profile or broad business issues, and alert the Employee Relations team
  • Ensure effective processes are in place to identify, manage, monitor and report risk as part of HR Advisory’s global delivery
  • Identify and report key risks and ensure where outside of the risk appetite they are escalated to the appropriate body for risk acceptance.

Governance

  • Successfully manage scope through effective governance and stakeholder management
  • Drive awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Ensure that requests from both People Leaders and HR colleagues for HR Advisory services are managed in line with the defined governance approach to effectively manage capacity and service quality
  • Understand local country legal, regulatory and tax requirements

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 15+ years of experience in HR function preferably in HR Business Partnering/ Advisory role
  • Professional Qualification in Business Management or HR or equivalent experience
  • Desirable Professional certifications in HR, IHRP- Senior Professional
