Assist the Treasury Department on the followings (Officer will be either Risk or Governance Officer, role is split):-
• Cultivating a risk and compliance culture within the department. Ensuring staff are kept abreast with applicable internal and external laws, regulations, rules and procedures in their respective specialized area to ensure compliance to both Regulatory Compliance and Operational Risks matters.
• Assist in creating and managing effective action plans in response to audit concerns, compliance violations, regulatory and operational breaches. Facilitate approval process for governance documents and ensure documents are reviewed.
• Manage treasury property and infrastructure ensure safety and well function
• Manage treasury BCP, DR Site and Testing documentation
• Develop and implement an effective Risk & Compliance programme for Treasury
• Review and provide advisory on Risk & Compliance matters
• Accurate and timely reporting for internal and external parties
• Facilitate governance documents reviewed on timely manner completion of business support initiatives on Risk and Compliance portion
• Relevant Projects/Assignments as directed by Head of Department
• Coordinate and ensure all outstanding audit and non-compliance issues are close within the timeline
Risk and Control Self-Assessment / KRI / KCT/ LDCs/BCM
• Fully implement the Group’s Operational Risk Management tools and processes across the department to identify, assess, measure, monitor and mitigate operational risk exposure / likelihood.
• To assist in maintaining business continuity so as to minimize business disruptions to business operation
• Establish an effective partnership with Country Operational Risk Management towards managing the department’s operational risks to be in line with the Group’s Business objectives.
• Provide advisory on risk mitigation measures within operations especially on high-risk areas.
Regulatory Compliance
• Establish an effective partnership with the Country Compliance and Business Compliance Officer towards managing the assigned departments’ regulatory compliance risks to be in line with RHB Singapore’s Business objectives.
• Develop and implement an effective regulatory compliance risk mitigation measures within operations to ensure no non-compliance breaches or non-recurrence of compliance breaches.
Risk & Compliance Awareness Training
• Facilitate/ coordinate training on Operational Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance matters to staff to promote an effective risk & compliance culture across the assigned departments.
Audit Issues by Group Internal Audit/ External Auditors
• Assist in creating and managing effective action plans in response to audit concerns, compliance violations, regulatory and operational breaches besides ensure no recurrences of issues.
Risk, Regulatory and Compliance Assurance
• Perform assurance checks to ensure Department’s adherence to key risks/regulatory/compliance areas.
• Analyze and implement operational process/controls in ensuring Department’s activities are within Risks/Regulatory/Compliance acceptance.
Ad-hoc Surveys/Projects as assigned by Head of Department
Any ad-hoc surveys (regulatory) or projects related to the scope of Governance as assigned by Head of Department
